The Risks Of Early Retirement

Thursday, September 28th, 2006
It seems that the I can realize my early retirement dream earlier than I thought. If we can continue to add $150,000 a year to our coffer, our net worth will break the 7-figure milestone by the end of this decade. Tuesday, September 26th, 2006
WSJ mentioned today that eloan.com is entering the high yield savings account market by offering a 5.50% APY (with a minimal of $5,000). Currently, I'm parking over $50,000 at EmigrantDirect, which has been consistently offering highly competitive rates since 2005. While a hundred dollar more a year is certainly not bad, I'm a bit confused why banks want to keep ... (3 comments)

Monthly Review - August 2006 ($517,498, +$38,185)

Sunday, September 3rd, 2006
While I knew August will be a strong month at July close, I didn't expect August to finish this strong. With the 8.0% jump in our family net worth, we finally crossed the important mark of $500,000.
